Sarah Moon update

Hello, I am updating my Sarah Moon sampler and it is just about done and looks lovely...I put it away for a few months (Quite a few) but with a little promp I picked it up and got into it again...I do like it alot and look forward to framing it..The frame is sitting waiting and has been collecting dush for a while .lol.
I have also joined the Beatrix Potter SAL Quakers sampler and it is going along well..I decided on two lavender colours on white linen..

A Year Gone Bye

Well I dont know where the time goes but it sure goes quicker each year we get older.Its been nearly a year since my last blog and I have had so much going on..
Most of my spare time has been taken up with my porcelain doll making.I started taking classes which I am enjoying very much and have completed a few dolls that I will post pictures on asap.. I have been knitting alot of miniature clothes and also doing alot of bead knitting for half dolls..So my cross stitch has been one hold for some time altho I did get my Sarah Moon out of storage and started doing some more of that and am on the homeward bound with completeing that..
I am enjoying my porcelain doll making, to create a little face that looks directly into my eyes and has something to says, gives me the most pleasure of all my hobbies.
My daughter was married last weekend which was a small gathering and a lovely day..
Life seems to be flying past with working and family time seems to be so limited.I would love to have a week of doing for me as I do for the family..Never mind Im guessing my tme will come..

Updating current works and adding some of my collections

Well I have finished my heart shape sampler and it looks lovely.I have been working on mum and dads cross stitch for a week now.I started at the hands in the middle but was very unhappy with the way it was stitching so I started again at mums head..(of all places) It looks a tad nicer but because there are so many colours I am finding it hard to get the crosses tidy.Hopefully they will improve as I get along.
I am also adding a couple of pics of some of my collections of different things. The little boxes.I just love these little ones that I have found lately on my travels..Also my Golly collection..The smallest is just over an inch high up to the tallest which is about 12-14 inches high..Just love my Gollies...I, like usual have overcommitted myself and havent done any work on my Gollyville for some time.I have 3 kits waiting to go on..mmm I must get a move on..Just one problem..NOT ENOUGH TIME....

Everything else on hold MUM AND DADS GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY 17th May 2008

Well I have put everything else on hold as my mum and dad celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on the 15th of May this year and I found a lady to convert a wedding photo into a cross stitch pattern so I started to cross stitch it last night...I am really hopeing it turns out as they will really think it is special... So I started on the 13th January 2008...
I will post pics each week on the progress..

Long long time between posts

Hi, its been along time since my last post but with work family and christmas upon us time has flown.I havent had much chance to get much stitching done on my Sarah Moon sampler..I havent had much time to do much at all.I am wondering when life will start to slow down so I can do some things in my days that I want to do.
Taking on extra shifts to help pay some bills and having my granddaughter in my everyday life just about fills my days.I have started thou a lovely little sampler that I found on the net from 2005..Its a quick easy heart shape and I am doing it in DMC59 which is not quite a burgandy.. Photo below..Will post another pic of Sarah Moon aswell below.
Well christmas 2007 is here in a day and I am not fully prepared.I am making all the home made sweets today for christmas eve dinner which I am having here at my home..All my children grandchildren and parents will be here so I am very excited about tat.The weather hasnt been very kind to us lately..Well on saying that the drought in Australia hant affected us here in the mountains but many parts of Aussie it has.But the rain in the last few weeks has been incredible.My front and back yards are still very very wet and the sun is sinning today which i am hoping will last till tommorrow night after my christmas eve dinner...
